Color Fastness & Stain Resistance

To obtain the highest resistance to weather and light the manufacturer uses only high-grade pigments compatible with the stabiliser systems used. Tests completed February 2008.

To Sea Water;

Standard: ISO 105-E02[1994] + Corr[2002], NBN EN 105-E02[1996]0

Method: A test sample composed of multi-fibre is attached to the test sample. The sample is immersed in salt water under pressure and at 37°C for 4 hours. The colour change, as well as the staining on the adjacent fabrics/multi-fibre fabric, is evaluated against a standard grey scale with values ranging between 1-5. (A rating of 5 means no colour change or staining on the adjacent fabric).
Colour Fastness: 4-5.
Staining: 5.

To Chlorinated Water;

Standard: ISO 105-E02[1994]0, NBN EN ISO 105-E03[1996]0

Method: A test sample shaken for 1 hour at 27degC is treated with a weak natrium hypochlorite solution of up to 100mg active chlorine per litre and is then dried. The color change as well as the staining on the mult-fibre is evaluted against a standard grey scale with values between 1-5. (A rating of 5 means no colour change or staining on the adjacent fabric).
Colour Fastness: 4-5.
Staining: 5.
